About

The Lay Speaking Ministries are a group of people who have committed themselves to leading, caring and communicating in their local churches when they have completed the Basic Course.  They share their talents where needed.  They may serve in leadership roles, caring ministries as well as speak from the pulpit.   Advanced Lay Speakers have committed themselves to serve beyond their local churches when they have taken a Advanced Course.  To remain active Lay Speakers need to take an approved course of at least 10 hours every 3 years  to retain their certification and must report to the District Superintendent annually.
